Meeting people

Hmm, I tend not to look, friends just sort of happen. If you're talking about specifically here then either wait for someone you write on your wall or join in the forums - obviously the forums will give you quicker results. Once you start talking to people on the forums you can add them and some might even add you. Ignoring attraction is a more difficult one, but if you want to 100% guarantee you don't fall for the people you add then just interact with people of the gender you don't feel attracted to. Unless you're bisexual, then you're stuck. I guess you could focus on interacting with people who are taken - that way even if you fall for them you know they're unavailable from the start and it won't be an issue.

If you change your mind and add them back I'm sure they won't mind; to be honest I wouldn't notice if anyone deleted me from their list since I don't often talk to people outside the forums. If they're joining your discord server you can talk to them there, even if you think they joined to talk to other members you're free to talk to anyone and try to make friends. When people add you then you can just start up a conversation. Most people do that by sending a message or writing on their walls to thank them for the add. I also recommend greeting people on the introduction threads since new joiners are generally looking to make friends. Then befriend the manliest men you can find haha! You're less likely to fall if there's less sexual attraction.

Don't be scared. Most of these people are hundreds of miles away from you, and you're not obligated to talk to any of them if you don't want to. You can keep the conversation as simple as you like, for example the weather will generally last for a few messages. (You can tell I'm British haha!)
