I've actually been able to avoid bad/let down anime because of MAL.
Anything 8 and up is probably going to be a decent watch

Dat Boi - Damn, I really enjoyed that one, it had great animation, music and overall an ok plot. It went exactly where I was expecting it to go, but it still got me at the end.

Probably wasn't horrible but Habane Ren Mei wasn't that great for me
