It's not the asinine wall that bothers me, it's the higher taxes on Mexican made goods. All that means is all those things (Food, electronics, car pats...etc) you like to consume are going to get a lot more expensive. It's a double edged blade. On one hand, it'll encourage economic growth thru manufacturing goods here, but on the other, us workers have quite a few more workers rights and a minimum wage that's much higher than quite a few places and that means you'll pay a bit more for your goods. Which also means, you get to pay for a pointless wall by default.

Putin is a cornered rat now, especially after getting into hot water with Europe after the Black Sea shenanigans. Russian economy went to shit because of it big time, and he knows better not to piss off his people....especially not people of this particular country. He's well aware that he's gonna get raided by hundreds of thousands of angry civilians with shovels if he fucks up. So he had no choice but to ally with China and get on good terms with them. However, US elections are also a great opportunity that came to him at the best time. Having somebody like Trump on the throne is gonna make things a lot easier for him.
