Purgatory feels hot to me but not the heat of fire and brimstone. The heat of a humid environment. Damp, sickly damp the kind that sticks to everything. You can see the broiling mist in the air. Purgatory would be full of frightening vegetation. The place would feel oppressive like it could crush you at any moment. In every shadow you'd witness your sins over and over. You'd have little clothing to protect you. It'd be futile wandering trying to find a place of relief but it never comes until you face your sins.

Purgatory might just be your biggest fears. A fear so bad. You might've not realised during your lifetime, but it might come. :p
