Yesterday wo Utatte (Sing "Yesterday" for Me) https://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/anime/1986/105547.jpg Synopsis: After college, Rikuo Uozumi, a boy without much ambition in life, takes on a job at a convenience store. The days pass by uneventfully for Rikuo until he meets his former girlfriend and classmate, but especially thanks to the unusual Haru Nonaka, and her pet raven... My thoughts: I have no idea what's going on with the plot of this anime, but the animation is good and the characters are interesting so I'm gonna keep watching. That's all.

Honzuki no Gekokujou - Season 2 Ascendance of a Bookworm https://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/anime/1582/101697.jpg Synopsis: Second half of Honzuki no Gekokujou: Shisho ni Naru Tame ni wa Shudan wo Erandeiraremasen. Urano Motosu loves books and has an endless desire to read literature, no matter the subject. She almost fulfills her dream job of becoming a librarian before her life is ended in an accident. As she draws her last breath, she wishes to be able to read more books in her next life. As if fate was listening to her prayer, she wakes up reincarnated as Myne—a frail five-year-old girl living in a medieval era. What immediately comes to her mind is her passion. She tries to find something to read, only to become frustrated by the lack of books at her disposal. Without the printing press, books have to be written and copied by hand, making them very expensive; as such, only a few nobles can afford them—but this won't stop Myne. She will prove that her will to read is unbreakable, and if there are no books around, she will make them herself! My thoughts: This one is cute, nicely animated, and has a fun and interesting story. I'm really glad to see it getting a second season. This is definitely in my watch list. And if you like fun stories and cute characters, I definitely recommend it.

Gleipnir https://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/anime/1380/106565.jpg Synopsis: What does one consider to be a monster? A horrible bloodsucking vampire? Frankenstein's creation? Shuichi Kagaya has a secret. Other than having great grades and being skilled at sports, he isn’t what one would call normal. In fact, Shuichi cannot even be considered human. One fateful morning, he woke up as a monster. With brute strength, an abnormally strong sense of smell, big fluffy paws, and the depression and self-hate that comes after losing one's humanity, his life was suddenly flipped upside down. Claire Aoki, the girl he had decided to save, now holds his secret over his head. Claire is a sadistic and utterly twisted girl, with no sense of empathy toward the lives of others. Before meeting Shuichi, she was in the search of monsters, hoping to find her monster sister. Despite becoming a monster, Shuichi naively continues to hold onto his human morals, but how long can one last in this insufferable way of living? My thoughts: Of all the things to turn into, a crappy mascot character? That's super lame. But if you like shameless fan service, this might be up your alley.

Fruits Basket (2019) Season 2 https://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/anime/1447/99827.jpg Synopsis: Tooru Honda has always been fascinated by the story of the Chinese Zodiac that her beloved mother told her as a child. However, a sudden family tragedy changes her life, and subsequent circumstances leave her all alone. Tooru is now forced to live in a tent, but little does she know that her temporary home resides on the private property of the esteemed Souma family. Stumbling upon their home one day, she encounters Shigure, an older Souma cousin, and Yuki, the "prince" of her school. Tooru explains that she lives nearby, but the Soumas eventually discover her well-kept secret of being homeless when they see her walking back to her tent one night. Things start to look up for Tooru as they kindly offer to take her in after hearing about her situation. But soon after, she is caught up in a fight between Yuki and his hot-tempered cousin, Kyou. While trying to stop them, she learns that the Souma family has a well-kept secret of their own: whenever they are hugged by a member of the opposite sex, they transform into the animals of the Chinese Zodiac. With this new revelation, Tooru will find that living with the Soumas is an unexpected adventure filled with laughter and romance. My thoughts: The a romance genre it doesn't have that much romance in it. But it's animated decently and the two friend of heroine are pretty interesting characters, and they make a rather comical trio. The male characters on the other hand are all a little under whelming. But all in all the first season was decent. It has it's dark parts, but mostly it's a very fluffy feel good kind of show. If you didn't see the first season, I'd recommend watching it first instead of jumping right in. But if you're short on time, this might be one you could skip.

Princess Connect! Re:Dive https://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/anime/1810/106070.jpg Synopsis: In the beautiful land of Astraea where a gentle breeze blows, a young man named Yuuki awakens with no memory of his past. There he encounters a guide who has sworn to care for him—Kokkoro, a lovely swordswoman who's always feeling peckish—Pecorine, and a cat-eared sorceress with a prickly attitude—Karyl. Led by fate, these four come together. And so their adventure begins... My thoughts: I'm a bit dumbfounded on this one. I totally don't get the plot. And the main character is slightly... umm... retarded... but hey, the female characters are drawn very cute at least.... It's not listed as a comedy, so I don't know.

Shironeko Project - Zero Chronicle https://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/anime/1494/105719.jpg Synopsis: In a world consisting of numerous isles, a young hero from the Astora Isle encounters the adventurer Kyle and follows him on an expedition on the isle. They meet a mysterious girl named Iris and a talking white cat, and together they make their way to the isle's ruins, where they find a flying island. Kyle becomes consumed by darkness there, and the party resolves to travel to the ends of the world on the flying island in order to find the seven "Great Runes," following Kyle's words before he disappeared. My thoughts: The script was absolutely terrible. I guess it's supposed to be a dark fantasy. Judging just from the first episode, you could probably just skip this one.

Shadowverse https://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/anime/1003/106498.jpg Synopsis: While attending Tensei Academy, Hiiro Ryuugasaki ends up acquiring a mysterious smartphone. It comes installed with the popular card game, Shadowverse! Meeting new rivals, facing major tournaments, forging bonds with friends... Shadowverse leads Hiiro to all sorts of new experiences, all that serve to "evolve" him. My thoughts: It's basically a Yu-Gi-Oh! knockoff. The main character is so obviously carefree it's just plain annoying. But if you're a maniac for card games, maybe this one is for you.

Tamayomi https://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/anime/1881/106156.jpg Synopsis: In her Junior High years, the pitcher Yomi Takeda was not able to get very far in a cross-school baseball tournament. Since the catcher on her team wasn't at her level, she couldn't use her signature move, the "Magic Throw," and eventually regretted not being able to use it. After Junior High, she decided to stop playing baseball and went to Shin Koshigaya High School, a school without a baseball club. There, she found her long lost childhood friend, Tamaki Yamazaki, who used to play catchball with her when they were kids. Tamaki also played baseball during her Junior High years as a catcher, and could even catch Yomi's "Magic Throw!" Their promise with each other during their childhood could now be fulfilled! Walking together on the road of baseball once again... The story of the girls who love baseball will begin! My thoughts: This is definitely a sports anime directed specifically at a girl audience. I was well animated, but the plot in the first episode was a bit forced. And I can pretty much predict where it's going. A "talented" girl pitcher that was held back because her catcher was inadequate gets to make a come back now that she meets up with her childhood friend who can catch her wild pitches. Not my cup of tea, but here it is.

Fugou Keiji Balance - UNLIMITED https://cdn.myanimelist.net/images/anime/1066/106556.jpg Synopsis: Daisuke Kanbe, a detective with extraordinary assets, is assigned to the Modern Crime Prevention Headquarters, where only those who have caused problems for the Metropolitan Police Department are sent. There, Daisuke is partnered with Haru Katou. Haru is repulsed by Daisuke's material ways, believing that money isn't everything. Challenging mysteries unfold in front of the two detectives, and they must work together to solve them. My thoughts: The animation quality was good, but the plot is freaking AWFUL!!! Holly cow it was bad. Maybe the story gets better later on. It must or they wouldn't have turned it into an anime... right?
