I don't mind BLM as a whole much like I'd assume (hope?) most guys don't mind feminism as a whole. I mind supremacists. And those sadly exist in every fucking activist movement.

^^^ Very true. Glad to see that someone can actually spot & identify the difference

sry..but what does BLM means ?
kichigai913
BLM = acronym for Black Lives Matter. I feel as tho I should make a separate thread just for that...

It's a civil rights activist group, black lives matter. Now, don't take the extremists to be the whole, but overall they stand for a lot of good things, it's just a few bad apples that seem to ruin the bunch.

Yeah, it started back in 2013 as a # on social media when a white police officer was found innocent after killing a 17yo, unarmed black kid in "self-defense". Since you know... a fatal shot is the only way to defend yourself from someone who doesn't even carry a weapon. That whole situation was fishy. Now they protect and fight for the rights of black people as a whole. However, as Senpai illustrated some twats who apparently try to fight racism with racism are part of the organisation, too. Since that proved to be such a good method in the past.

what i wanna know is why neko seems to bring up alot of evidence against blacks. what do you feel about them?

With BLM it can be argued that its more than a scant and scattered "few apples" that are ruining the image (yasshat). Neko - please stop (you're not exactly helping prove the point) even if some of your statistics are valid (it appears they aren't though). If you are going to use statistics let them aid your point not be your point. Us white people (apparently) proudly represent racism according to some without even realizing because there has to be racism there just has to be. How can one proudly represent something if its on an unconscious level - to me if you proudly represent something it has to be conscious such. Proudly representing the unconscious (subconscious) or unintentional (if one even can) - that makes someone racist (the most extreme form of racial bias?) Seriously someone explain how one can proudly represent something they aren't consciously doing? I am uneducated and unaware this can be something valid and I do legitimately seek education and viewpoint on this. People get really bothered if they're seen as a bigot - with no substance (get it right ignorant one). OP has proven to be Exhibit A in what I was talking about with BLM supporters. I'm going to stipulate (argue) here and now that if one is to be a racist their words and actions have to be INTENTIONAL in nature in their ill will towards another race and that this has to be SOLELY ON RACE. Sure if one blindly cries racism on literally everything - they're bound to be right sometimes. This does more harm than good because when there isn't racism and the facts do not purport such - the race crier will look like a gigantic buffoon especially if all they do is double down and not listen to dissent and criticism. Lack of education, sympathy, and blindly believing things said such as "there are more black people in jail than college" isn't full blown racist. Sure its definitely prejudiced and racially insensitive (and logically incorrect to believe unverified or false data) - there are levels to these things. Race baiters and antagonists won't acknowledge this though as it would upset their narrative of racism being so widespread it is on every street corner - in every home (and they can't stand that so they willfully ignore that possibility and difference in severity. Exhibit A decries everything is racist and wonders why people have a problem with that. It is one thing to make noise..... but when, how and over what is critical in the effectiveness of the noise. If Exhibit A and others who share his belief system constantly are making this noise - it is going to turn into just that ... just noise. Again not everything that is less than ideal when it comes to race is full blown racism ... THERE......ARE.....VARYING....LEVELS....AND...DEGREES... anybody who does not understand this should stay the fuck out of the conversation. We must educate the actual racists and those with even slight prejudices. We must also educate everyone and come to terms on what IS and ISN'T racist. If it were up to people like Exhibit A literally every white person would be in racial sensitivity seminars. Thing is I can't particularly tell if the types of Exhibit A are truly a scant minority who happen to be a very vocal and publicized sect or whether they truly do embody even a significant chunk of BLM as a whole. I'd hope that these extremists are only a small fragment but I can't be sure and there isn't a particularly conclusive way to find this out either. Exhibit A - there is plenty of things to learn as a rabid and seemingly blind BLM supporter - you willfully choose not to listen over petty reasons and plain immaturity. The things I said are probably just too real for you. Making noise is easy - listening is hard isn't it? Some in BLM are too busy making noise to listen and they then wonder why others are tuning their noise out and have not one fucking clue why. Protip: Simply having legitimate grievances and making noise isn't enough to justify everything and be above reproach and criticism. The noise has to have substance and the facts backing it up - otherwise its just simply plain noise. One can point to cases where there is legitimate police and/or white brutality against blacks and one would be correct in making noise over those. This does not in turn validate the noise made when the facts did not purport the BLM narrative in other cases. Saying "you (BLM) handled the Michael Brown situation grossly incorrectly" does not mean that BLM has handled every case incorrectly. One can argue that simply "one dead black person does not mean we will riot in the streets" but we have the optics of Ferguson, Missouri. One black person there was justifiably murdered. If one then argues about all of those other cases and interconnecting them....why? Why interconnect all of these cases when some of these cases don't support the cause? Why not go on a case by case basis? Exhibit A (kichigai) has the opportunity to learn and educate himself on another view point but willfully chooses not to. This speaks volumes. He goes on about education education education but is willfully ignorant when there is information right in his face in a thread he himself created. Hopefully the rest of you understand my viewpoint and my criticisms. Hopefully the rest of you are truly for racial equality and bridging the divide. Hopefully the rest of you aren't race baiting agitators. Hopefully the rest of you understand that everything less than ideal when it comes to viewing a race isn't inherently racist (especially if it is unintentional).

@xynomi the white person in question wasn't a police officer (I think he was neighborhood watch or something to that effect). While everything else sounds about right I did have to make that notable clarification. Should Trayvon be dead - no The real travesty of injustice was on the prosecution on Trayvon's behalf. They tried with minimal evidence and a really horrible "star witness" to convict Zimmerman on a higher charge of Second Degree Murder when they could have gotten him for example on Involuntary Manslaughter or another lesser charge. Truth is the prosecution failed Trayvon more than anything else in the pursuit of justice (they aimed too high and it didn't work). By some standards I'm racist for what I just said. This also brings up that the vocal BLM supporters all over the news and social media ... really...desperately....need legal education on how our laws work. Again it wasn't racism that kept Zimmerman out of jail it was a lack of evidence on a charge that the prosecution got greedy with hoping to ride the emotional outcry train (or that the prosecution felt pressured by BLM outcry to pursue a higher charge for fear of being viewed as a "cop out" or "slap on the wrist")
