Will you love a robot in the future?

I agree with yass in terms of where we are at with the technology. My scenario is a optimistic and hopeful one, if it were the case. Many other scenarios from self proclaimed futurist either paint it more darker and negative while adding some imagination to the mix or they ignore quite a few technological hurdles required to make fully sentient ai on the level we want. We have at least ventured into it, though. Robots like pepper or hondas robot among a few are good examples. Googles robot as well or what the military is working on. But for actual AI or true sentience there is a long way to go. I would put it on par with the hurdles of cryogenics or freezing people to revive later, which is quite difficult to put it lightly. My "guess" is third to fourth quarter of the century at the earliest. Yet here we are having a russian billionaire discuss projects for transferring a human body to a cybernetic one.

good luck finding people who got time to deal with such AI while we got a lotta other world issues to solve <.> (first world probrems?) Alright, so the sentient AI appears outta nowhere: I'd probably stick with humans still because real girl doesn't need an algorithm to form her own opinions and have her own feelings. No matter how you stick it, just being "AI" still means someone else came up with it, i mean "him/her." Not to mention the awkwardness of some moments: "ah wait, lemme get my hardware update to match your back problems stage and wheelchair stage so we can match." I dunno, just how i see it (also, diggin the Overwatch reference Neko-san)

I think that kind of level of robotics might not happen until we're too elderly to date or until after we're dead. Our generation probably won't get the chance to actually date sentient robots, but some of our grandkids might come out as robosexual. (Like in that one Futurama episode)

I think it would be really fun to date one. I just hope that it would have a personality of its own and is able to express feelings and such.
