I remember I had a vhs copy of My Neighbor Totoro when I was a kid so I guess that was my first anime. The first anime series I watched was probably Pokemon, that's all I can really think of lol.

Admittedly? Pokemon was my first... the first anime I watched knowing what anime was I think was Sailor Moon/Dragon Ball Z iirc Watched Akira early too, just can't remember when hahah

First anime I ever watched was yu-gi-oh. I got into other anime after that.

Before I knew what anime was: Digimon, Pokemon, Yugioh, and Naruto. Then once I did: D.Gray Man, Naruto, and Bleach. Stopped watching anime for a few years, then when I got back into it I rewatched the same ones since I forgot everything about them.

I didn't watch anime until late 2015, partly because I was really careful about what to start with, and I wanted to make sure it would be something I'd really like. I starting with Squid Girl. It's still my favourite.

Pokemon before I knew what anime was. After that Gundam Wing shortly followed by DBZ, Sailor Moon, and Yu Yu Hakusho.
