Would you date someone taller/shorter than you?

Guys would you date a girl who was taller than you? (or gays, would you date a guy who would be taller than you?) If not, why? Girls would you date a guy who was shorter than you? (or lesbians, would you date a girl who would be shorter than you?) If not, why? While it would be extremly rare for a girl to be taller than me (I'm 6'6/198cm) I'd still date her if I liked her (I also kind of have a thing for girls above 6 feet) But in all honesty, height doesn't matter to me that much.

Yeah I would date someone taller than me, Im 5'1 or something around 155cm. So a lot of people are taller than me, but height doesnt really matter in my books.

normally i would have said no. but overtime, i've grown to not care about height. it doesn't really matter to me anymore.

Ive never been with someone taller than me, and yeah it does seem like a turnoff but I dont think it would stop me from dating them.

I probably wouldn't date anyone shorter than me because I'm hella short. Plus, tall people really turn me on. I have a weird fetish for height difference.

I would definitely date a girl who was shorter than me but I would also date a girl who's taller - if I feel she's special and awesome and we connect on that kind of level then I don't see any issues. I used to say no to that but honestly, that kind of shit doesn't bother me anymore.

@taletellerinabox I'm in the same box... 5'2 or 5'3 (depends when it's that time of the month~) Despite how progressive most folk think they are, I feel both sexes are still very insecure about their partners height, and we can blame it on gender norms: guys prefer shorter girls so they can feel strong, and girls prefer taller guys so they can feel protected. In actuality it's more like this: guys hate taller girls because they feel weak, and girls don't want (wait for it...) the shorter end of the stick (#LAUGHTRACK) (THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! YOU'RE A WONDERFUL AUDIENCE!!!). I mean, it's not like we can change that about ourselves. Maybe you can make your nose smaller, grow muscle/lose weight, enlarge other areas, but you can't just add a few inches to your leg or neck. And even if you did the rest of your body would look off... like you'd have to add inches/bones EVERYWHERE including the torso and pelvic region. Which I don't think is possible (maybe?) (not for superficial reasons at least...) It's really unfortunate for us shorter guys (and I assume taller girls, too), but what can ya do? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Weight, which in most cases can be altered, does not define who you are. ("Well actually it may define your eating habits and exer--") NO THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!! What I mean is, today's society, for whatever reason, is pretty good at shaming men for ditching fat girls (which I also think is mean and speaks about their character), and yet women ditching shorter men, or not even giving them a chance is rarely talked about. Why is that? How come we can't shame women for being just as superficial? Don't they understand that ditching these gender norms is exactly what FEMINISM IS ALL ABOUT?!?!?! WHO'S WITH ME?!?! (#womp) (EDIT: oh wait to answer your question yeah I don't care #LAUGHTRACK but maybe I only think that way because I'm on the shorter end of the height-spectrum)

I have a thing for shorter girls. Just makes me want to "surprise adopt" them and carry them off to the sunset then take care of them after reaching my realm which is my house. I don't really mind about height but being with someone shorter than me would be fun to play with like I'll hold onto their stuff and make them jump/reach for it as I hold it sky high.
