[META] Do you ever give out your cell phone number out to people on here vis PMs? If so, when/why?

Before I give anyone my phone number I usually add them on something like Skype. If we become really good friends and there's actually a good reason to give them my number then sure, why not. That being said, I rarely ever give out my phone number to online friends, only if we're actually meeting up.

I would give my number out to people, I personally don't care. Nobody really harasses me because I'm considered boring anyway lol xD And also being a guy helps too, nobody really cares about males to much because we are pretty common. There are more males then females on the planet giving females more choices and therefore they don't have to try to hard to find someone. And according to Psychology, males will always talk to females first since they are more rare then males making females not care to much because they have options.

I send people my skype and stuff like that but only after I've gotten to know them a fair bit and am comfortable with them. When however depends on the person and how much we get along of course.

I give them my secondary phone number once I get to know them better. I use an app from the play store thing. If I feel closer to them and best buddies, I'll give my real phone number.

I wouldnt share my number i would first add them in instagram or something else like facebook and see if they are actually real and trying to trap people in areally bad scam

Not yet, but I would. I could use some company. I have a small circle of people I chat with and been looking to expand anyways.

I don't see why you would need to give anyone your phone number anymore. If you want to talk to someone you can just exchange skype names. Of course when you're friend or in a relationship, yes of course. But even then, the only person I still call is my mom everyone else is either skype or message and meet in real life. In general skype is safer and easier to manage than your phone nr.
