Not in a noticeable way, but I have been using them to my advantage. My own little social experiments, if you will.

Most who heart me at least think a little like me. I take NOTHING personal on here and even less when it concerns hearts. There are many who think they're being cute by piling on hearts on certain people, other's barely heart anything out of shear laziness (Hello!XD), but generally speaking, no one seems to know what the hearts do. Personally, I'd like a dislike button too, but people would start to judge solely on what their peers like or don't like(Sheeple).

I give out hearts pretty liberally on here. Usually it's because I genuinely liked something somebody posted, but sometimes it's just because I feel like it. :P

But wouldn't that just be soo fascinating to see Yass? If even just for a while. what kind of culture would MO have if you could discourage people you don't like from talking? I mean obviously not permanently but just to see what attitude prevails.
