Shy guys?

I like shy guys as long as they have just a little bit of confidence. Plus It's really cute when a guy gets all nervous and shy around a girl.

Are you going to approach a random shy guy and initiate a conversation with him though in hopes of a relationship? Truthfully?

Most of the active conversations on MO were thread necros. I don't think there's really a policy against it as long as people are interested in talking about it. :| To contribute, I think "Shy" guys are okay. The main issue with them is that if the girl does not find them physically attractive or is not emotionally attached to them, "Shy" can very quickly become "Creepy" or "Awkward" which are obviously bad qualities. Generally, I don't think it would be wise to market yourself as "Shy" as the above is out of your control. I think in most situations it's better to be confident, as you can normally control yourself from being too confident or "Cocky." which is also a turn off.

Anes, you didn't fully read the question. It was "would you approach a random shy guy..." Assume you saw him between classes (college or oyherwise) or something. You don't know him, or anything about him. Seeing as you like shy guys, would you approach him.

When I used to be the shy guy in the corner...people would spread perverted rumors about me. Shy can be synonymous with weirdo and mysterious weirdos are often assumed to be pedos.

@Anes, I'll take your word for it... @Vamp, only if you're in the corner, watching a bunch of kids whom you're not babysitting :p
