Shy guys?

I have always been a pretty shy guy, but recently I just decided the hell with it and go all out. Which is why I am looking forward to my first expo event here at Youmacon in Michigan. Even with it being my first event, I intend to cosplay, participate in events, etc. Definitely working on becoming a little less shy lol.

well, I'm not a girl so this is useless input, but I'm definitely a really shy guy. I cannot, for the life of me, bring myself to be loud and obnoxious. when i see guys so desperate for attention it makes me wanna beat the living shit out of them myself, so i guess the way I see it, if a girl is into a guy like that, then she's not the girl for me anyways. :/ then again I'm foreveralone, so what the heck do i know, right?

I'm not all that shy if we have things in common, most the time the only people i have things in common with are gamers, anime fans, and anyone who likes dirtbikes or fourwheelers.

Shy is tricky~ can make it very hard to get to know somebody. In my experience though, shy people really come out once you get close to them. Then they can be some of the best friends ever. :3 As long as they're just... 'shy'~ not just, afraid of the world in general... I used to prefer walking up to shy people and being friends with them. Anyone who sat in the back of class or at the park. I'd let them read a books I had, so they could borrow it and have a reason to bring it back and have something to talk about. Or we'd play a game or something and we could swap. :>

I like and dont like shy guys, i am shy myself until i know the person but i think that if a guy is shy even after getting in a relationship its off putting because makes me wonder if his just with me because he fears no one will ever notice him or what. i think the reason most girl dont go for the shy/nice guys is because its just too awkward. i can understand shyness at first but if you going to be Shy trough the whole relationship yeah thats just bad

@skyfire, she is talking about sex.... lol Anywho, my boyfriend is shy, though not with me :) I find it adorable ^^ He is that shy, nice guy type that someone claimed is kryptonite to girls..... apparently I'm not one of them? lol Anyways, he did talk to me first, though :) Anyways, I think as long as you are able to at least initiate some sort of conversation with a girl you are interested in, you will be fine. The problem is that a lot of girls don't notice shy guys unless they talk to them. Same goes the other way for shy girls. Also, you have to be able to open up after a while. You can't still be shy around your girlfriend after a couple months...
