How not to get catfished

Mik if you know its the right person trust me looks will be the last thing in your mind !! and one picture will not ruin it for you !! and true identity or nature ?? are you talking about personality ?? a persons looks wont show that !! unless your talking about gender or something XD XD

Ask them for a photo where they're holding a paper with their username on it! If they have no photos of their face and they refuse to show you any, I would just move on. If they do have photos of themselves, you can use Google's "search by image" feature to see if they're who they say they are. If a Facebook profile or something similarly legitimate pops up and their info doesn't match what they've told you, then that's a big red flag.

Just do a reverse image search if they have a pic posted they're saying is them, this doesn't always work though so I recommend asking them to add you on something with voice chat just to see if they're even a female and then later, ask to webcam together to see if they're still a catfish. Just don't go assuming every attractive woman is a catfish, I only ever really think it's a catfish if the photos are super professional looking and the person acts really fishy.

Piece of paper with thier username or a random number would work well....unless maybe they are a god at photoshop, then you might have some trouble :P

I just mean being on this i have MISUSED the word catfished which i apologise i just mean being on this site meeting a lot of great people getting to know them and not having real pictures of themselves until you find out It is a person who wasn't who they were intented to be ?

Catfish - lure (someone) into a relationship by means of a fictional online persona. for example a 50 year old man uses a fake profile to lure in an unsuspecting 20 year old.

Yeah basically got the wrong thing totally out of context ..... Guy meets girl information exchanged isn't what it is when real identity is produced :/

With Skype video calls. Although it could be a huge prank, and someone is using their sister soo, never completely trust online...

Observing their behavior, video calls. If they refuse to even call you, obviously something is up. I mean, I understand anxiety but if you known them or even date them for months and still no voice communication, then there's a chance you're being played. Reverse image search and even searching their username is helpful. If you get no results on both, then be cautious if you want to continue with them.
