Certainly wasn't for me. ;) Given that I'm not a girl, I'm probably not the best to ask. But I'd just say inform yourself as much as possible before hand. I also just don't think losing one's virginity is a huge deal. You don't actually lose anything, and it doesn't auto equal love. And nothing pops! Your hymen just stretches(if you even have one. Ya, some girls apparently don't). Don't be afraid to educate yourself and do it when you're both comfortable. Not sure if your question was serious or not. :P

To be fair for me it was more boring than I'd hoped it to be. Probably because I wasn't and still am not used to be intimate with another person
