Sometimes you just can't replicate a sound. Diana Krall did tried singing Lady Day's song ( the one posted) but did not come close. I think the only person who got close was Diana Ross. Ella Fitzgerald is definitely another great singer.

@Ringo_Blue Hahaha yeah when I was a teen Radiohead made me feel the same way. Same thing here but it sort feels good to feel that way from time to time :P. I never heard of The National and I gave them a listen. They are really good!!!! They reminds me of The Killers and Interpol. Really powerful music.
@C.Raynor To be honest I only knew Diana Ross for the song "I'm Coming Out". I didn't know she did those jazz type songs. I just listened to her covers and they're pretty good xO.

So true! Not sure if you've heard Bon Iver? But yeah, their music and The National kind of gave me the same feel, although Justin Vernon lacks Matt's characteristic droning.

@Ringo_Blue Nope never heard of Bon Iver. I gave them a listen and I like them. Really calming music. I liked the progression near the end of Creature Fear it was intense. I love the ambient feeling their music gives thanks!!! I really like their song Calgary Have you heard of Daughter? I get kind of the same vibe from them. @Red Alfro dude Dude I know how to feel. Mama straight up gives me anxiety. The song MCR has that gives me chill is The Ghost of You especially the music video!!!
@differentdrum When Jonny Cash sings I can totally feel his emotions especially when its painful. I have the song "You Got It" on my mp3 but I didn't know the artist hhahaha. I didn't know who Velvet Underground were so I had to listen to some songs. You picked a lot of artist with unique voices I like it!!!
