Crimes Against Children A decade ago, a 10-year-old boy disappeared from his Brentwood, Maryland, neighborhood. Within weeks, the investigation would uncover two pedophiles and a larger ring of online child pornographers. Within two years, it would spawn a major national initiative that is now the centerpiece of the FBI’s efforts to protect children from predatory pedophiles in cyberspace. Here’s how the events unfolded: When FBI agents and Prince George’s County police detectives went door-to-door to talk with neighbors following the boy’s disappearance in 1993, they encountered a pair of suspicious men who had been “befriending” local children, showering them with gifts and even taking them on vacation. Evidence followed that the men had been sexually abusing children for a quarter century. More recently, they had moved online, setting up a private computer bulletin board service not only to “chat” with boys and set up meetings with them but also to share illicit images of child pornography. That, in turn, led investigators to a larger ring of computer pedophiles. When a similar case with national reach turned up the following year, the FBI realized it was onto an alarming new trend: sexual exploitation of children via the Internet. A Program is born. In 1995, the FBI created its Innocent Images National Initiative (IINI). Its goals: to break up networks of online pedophiles, to stop sexual predators from using the Internet to lure children from their families, and to rescue victims. Today, 28 of the FBI’s 56 field offices have undercover Innocent Images operations. More than 200 FBI agents work these cases. Some pose as teenagers or pre-teens in chat rooms to identify “travelers” who seek to meet and abuse children. Others focus on dismantling major child exploitation enterprises. Since 1995, we’ve opened more than 10,000 total cases and helped secure nearly 3,000 convictions. Keeping Safe. To report child pornography and/or potential cases involving the sexual exploitation of children, please contact the Crimes Against Children Coordinator at your local FBI Field Office. You can also file an online report at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s CyberTipline at www.cybertipline.com; these reports are forwarded to the appropriate law enforcement authorities. Just gonna put this here....

@klaudjawolff These are the posts I made. 1. As someone who was in the server with you two, I am quite concerned. I'm not there anymore so I don't know what you guys were doing. You're 15, maroon is an adult. Randomkid is also an adult, now there are more!? Red flags RED FLAGS. 2. *Me in that server* DON'T FLIRT WITH THE MINORS CALL THE FBI I'M CHRIS HANSEN, TAKE A SEAT FBI OPEN UP STOPT DOING WHATEVER IT IS YOU'RE DOING. *Klaudja* We're just playing bro. Relax. *me* THIS IS NOT OKAY. So can you please point out where I said something about your IRL friends and your culture. Also what you are doing is wrong, you can NOT say it isn't in your culture. You're young and you don't know what you're talking about. I was in your server, I first hand witnessed everything. You guys were talking about sex and nudes and stuff. There were both adults and minors. If you think this is OKAY, then there is something wrong with you. I was there so you can't lie about anything, me and you both know you are bad at lying. You lied to defend luii and we both know how that turned out.

it is located in the US, altho whether US american law applies to conversations you have on this platform is debatable. i would be curious, so if you are willing to look into it and provide links i would read it aswell.

It can Pirate. The FBI can start an investigation of the website with reports on their cybertip line. Its pretty much due diligence to keep the website clean of this shit. See something, say something methodology.

Also just FYI, I hear some places are prosecuting minors for sending nudes out of themselves because technically its child pornography.

first and foremost, sephi needs to specifically say that minors are not allowed to use this service. hm but when it comes to the individuals involved i think they might or could be out of the FBI's reach, as perhaps different laws apply to them on the internet. i would be interested to see and read up on the laws apply to you as a citizen of another country using a service from another country. but generally when you look at the internet from a countries perspective, a country can ban specific websites, aka youtube. so my take is that... i'm not sure lmao xDDDDDDDD

Teens The states that have adopted sexting laws have specifically targeted images sent between or among teenagers. For example, Connecticut's sexting law targets teens (anyone between 13 and 17) who either transmit or possess nude or obscene photos of either themselves or another teenager. The Connecticut law also makes distinctions between the age of the sender and the recipient, penalizing senders between the ages of 13 and 15 who send pictures of themselves, and recipients between the ages of 13 and 17 who receive any images. However, state laws differ significantly. Louisiana, for example, prohibits anyone under the age of 17 from sending or keeping explicit photographs, while Texas allows an exception for sexting if a minor sexts with another minor who is no more than 2 years older or younger and the two are dating.
