I'm all for humane science that ends up helping animals and the planet also humans however as @.nyquist post above we already have some people already seeing humans as disposable, then if you add in genetic engineering it just seems people are going to choose who they see as worthy to society while others will be discarded to work for that society saddley it already happening people who are sick don't get the attention they deserve because of money or people making accuse for why they don't get the help you could say it leads 5x more problems on the world.

I am in favour of science when its done with the intention of benefitting humankind as a whole. Anything done with the intention of being cruel is unacceptable. This is in the case of human and animal experimentation.
In medical ethics, informed consent is key. (I'm a medical student and we studied this)
