Random thoughts...

How're these times any more times of moral decay than any other? Aside from what the news will tell ya, we actually live in some of the most peaceful times in human history. We have (Those who are in developed countries.) excellent medical care, access to more food than we know what to do with, I don't have to worry about my neighboring tribe attacking me, we have for the most part good climate control in our spacious housing, I don't need to hunt or even grow my own food, we have access to vaccines for diseases that would normally kill off our children/elderly, I can where I live vote for my political leaders/laws, we can go literally anywhere in the world in less than a day, we have entertainment beyond our wildest imaginations of even just one hundred years ago and I can literally talk to ANYONE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD INSTANTLY. There's much, much more that can be added... So, what's so much worse about our times? The instant availability of sensationalized news that's stirs people's emotions so the networks involved can make more money.

Nah. It really is the fact that people thrive on drama and news media is run by money. What's that mean? You're going to constantly be bombarded with the nasty things in this world (Of which there are and always have been plenty.). I hardly hear about anything good. Why? Rainbows and puppies don't sell quite as well.

i dont go by news sites because 99% of mainstream media is either propaganda or complete horseshit that skews the facts of a story to fit their narrative. i simply go by my own observations of people and how they treat themselves and the people around them. vaccines for diseases? tell that to these new antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria mutating into deadlier forms. more food than we know what to do with? a lot of that food goes into the garbage, even if it is still good and can be used as an ingredient for a different meal they still waste it. as for voting for leaders and such people are basically voting for a party with the same end goal just different views on how to go about it. in the end politicians dont want leaders or people who can think for themselves, they just want passive mindless consumers to continue to line their pockets with gold. if you seriously think the politicians you vote for care about you or the common folk you got another thing coming, all they care about is money and power no more no less. it honestly baffles me how people are oblivious to that. or maybe they just dont care well far be it from me to wake them from their dream. teddy roosevelt said it best "to educate someone in mind and not in morals, is to educate a menace to society" now im gonna skedaddle before this turns into a political debate.

So, be the change you want to see. Don't waste your food. I don't have to and I don't. We have antibiotic resistant bacteria thanks mostly in part to people abusing(aka, they're majorly over prescribed.) antibiotics/not taking them as prescribed(aka, there's a reason there's a certain time frame in which you need to use ALL of the antibiotics that you were prescribed.). However, we are still developing new antibiotics and vaccines. Still, I agree on the political aspect, but we still have choices that WE can make to change those kinds of things. I still don't see the more aggressive moral decay, though. Maybe I'm just blind.

well since your response seems level-headed ill humor you, 1 aspect of moral decay that ive noticed is the destruction of the nuclear family. many children grow up without a father who either was a dumpster-douche who chased tail instead of providing for his family, or the the wife left the man through no fault of his own robbed of half of his assets then the cherry on top in this scenario is the wife takes the children away from the father, even if he was the best father he could be for his child. another aspect of moral decay is people expecting free handouts when they did nothing to earn those handouts,ie. lazy people who havent worked a day in their life living on the taxpayer's dime, idk about you but id rather work my ass off for what i want and need than get it as a free handout at the expense of the working class. yet another aspect of moral decay is the rampant disregard for the people less fortunate than the people, i was homeless twice in my 28 year life, so ive experienced first hand on how employers and normal folk do nothing to help the homeless and whats worse is they treat them like objects. god forbid those people had to walk a mile in the homeless peoples shoes. as for being the change i want to be, i try to never waste food, i recycle my leftover dishes into a stew or soup etc., whenever a homeless person asks me for money for food, i take them to a mcdonalds or something and buy them a 10 dollar meal and i give the homeless people in my area the clothing and materials they need to stay warm in the winter or water to keep hydrated in the summer. though i agree the people who abuse the antibiotics or the people who refuse to take them as prescribed are the root causes of the issue of superbugs i feel bad for my future grandchildren who will have limited options when most antibiotics are no longer useful, if they catch one of those superbugs.

Somali to Mori no Kamisama is pretty great so far, it's fair to say it's gonna be good because I've almost caught up in the manga. ID invaded is interesting but I've been busy with my dayjob and voice work lately Soni haven't had a chance to start anything else. Looking to pick up the new season of Railgun tho.
