Ah... AOL and Yahoo chat... What happened? Smart phones, ease of just typing, limited social interactions outside of a screen. The only "content creators" we had usually used shockwave games and lots of totally awesome colors, text galore and flashing...lots of flashing. Videos? Ha! Not on dial up! Where we were going, 56k was a suggestion, but usually not the norm.lol No wonder I got dropped so much on Warcraft and Command And Conquer.lol Ever got a long distance bill for using the Internet? This guy did...Sorry mom and dad for the $1,000 bill...I was a teenager with the internet. Woops...lol

In the earliest days you got booted from dial up and the time for pages to load would literally break the info generation's babies' brains today. The first time I saw high speed internet load a page instantly I was like https://i.pinimg.com/originals/55/d7/bf/55d7bf1eb4ad33885ec15a5ec252eaa1.gif

But you have a point about cell/smart phones. That had to be it. No point in talking online if you could just share numbers and connect directly. It just takes the community aspect out of it.

I'd say that's at least part of the reason. Just gonna say... I seem to remember SOMEONE telling me I was afraid to talk when i used to just text...oh...To long ago...10ish(Plus-ish) years ago? Damn... Time be flying, yo. Some of us just are socially anxious....AAAAANNNNNND... I feel like this form of interaction, at least to some weird degree, maybe, sorta lends towards*ahem* "Social retardation." on a large scale. lol

At the end of the day any thought, opinion I have about someone else it isn't worth venting, complaining about. They are who they want to be and I can't change that. Just gotta accept it or move on to someone else who doesn't drain my energy.

@yaasshat Practice makes perfect though. I was a mute for a couple years hitting puberty and almost fainted talking in front of classes in high school. Now I give speeches to strangers pretty regularly. It is a learned skill, the most basic form of communication. People say learning a language is hard, but displaying and reading social cues while being able to breathe normally without dying is critical before learning the grammar and words. Better with every day use and practice.

Think I figured it out. The real reason why demons freak out when seeing a cross must be because you are waving a medieval torture device at them.

@verucassault Ain't that bad, luckily.lol (I do have two kids... The kid making thing is kinda hard to do if one is a mime.lol) I'm more...ehhh... "Stoic" with a solid dash of depression and issues creating lasting, meaningful connections. I talk just fine(Making solid lasting connections? That's a me issue, though.) in person and that's the social interaction I think is missing(Connecting the dots back to the main theme, here.lol), for the most part in modern society. That's all I was getting at, though I am still socially retarded. lol I appreciate the advice, though.

@verucassault I still use my mic to call people racial slurs. My imaginary wife gets mad at me when I do though.
