@yaasshat So sounds like a drop biscuit. Probably came out great. If you like a little sweetness to it add a tiny bit of hot water to honey and brush it over top, makes them addictive

Two days seems a bit excessive.lol
And, I wouldn't say ferment.lol The yeast will only make the dough rise so much, then it tends to dry out a touch, even if covered. It's not difficult in the least, but I get lazy and buy the premade dough.lol You can even freeze it for later use.

2 Days is max after that it wouldn't be pleasant. And it is fermentation with the yeast converting the sugars into carbon dioxide and other things. Develops more flavor and gives you a better overall dough. It will dry out the longer you let it go but flavor is king

If it makes you feel any better you can throw some dill in it and then you've got a dill dough
