i think the message of puella magi was that you shouldn't try and do things on your own, and you should ask for help. madoka made the wish the final time despite wishes of homura because she wanted to take care of it herself and in the movie homura did the same. she carried the burdens of everyone and recreated the world on her own. homura rewriting the timeline inside her labyrinth was wrong (though preferable), and so was madoka running away to cure the magical girls was also wrong. so i hope the movie has them coming together and fixing the problem via proper team work (maybe throw in the record gang. i know its a split universe, but if madoka could time travel and homura could bring back the dead, why cant them detention hop too?)

@hell_hound7 idk if youv seen wolf children, but the same studio has done a lot of other great anime films Boy and the Beast https://media1.tenor.com/images/c25a5885adfb855f33a9a78819ae2e5e/tenor.gif?itemid=5997025 Mirai no mirai https://64.media.tumblr.com/e8705c33ed48759298937c9d1a1bd663/ac04314d76e43117-d2/s540x810/1811506a97c5520b30126f1e93baf281d66c5f63.gif and the girl who leaped through time are my favorites https://media.giphy.com/media/mLOh97fKjuCDS/giphy.gif BUT my favorite anime movie is Tokyo Godfathers. its about a group of homeless people that find a baby in the trash. its more of a Christmas movie, but omg its so fucking good. i watch it every year https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ef/0a/2e/ef0a2e237919669199a5665d2f8c92c2.gif

*cough* *cough* not that I've seen cringe anime girly anime. But if I had! Homura had almost God like powers. Homura could travel back in time. If Homura fucked up i.e Madaka dying. Homura could just travel back in time. Then try and fix the fuck up. Homura didn't try and work on the problem on her own at first. She did try and work as a team through her first playthroughs of Madoka's death. But Madoka kept dying over and over again. I think Homura finally said, "fuck it." Working as a team is slowing me down. Having to explain things over and over gain is slowing me down. I'll just fix this shit by myself. Homura did kinda fixed it. But she fixed it into her own benefit. My message from the movie was very different. Homura made a fake world where Madoka was happy. A fake matrix like world where the one she loved is always happy. But not real happy, but fake happy derived from the fake world. It posed a very interesting question at the end. Would you rather live in fake made up world and be happy? Where you are not free. A slave to the made up fake world. Or would you rather be live in a real world where happiness and sadness is intertwined? You may be sad at times , but your emotions are yours and not derived from a fake world. @momoichi

I recommend Midori Shoujo Tsubaki. Very wholesome anime Pandus. Watch it with your body pillow waifu. Watch it with yo kids. Watch it with yo family. Watch it alone. It doesn't matter how you watch it UwU @hell_hound7

just a random thought, but... @a1ephy Keep in mind how Homura had to go back in time. She had to kill herself to do it. Yes, in various timelines her and Madoka did try and work together with all of the girls, and it ended the same, but they never sought other girls to join as well. Homura should have brought them all (minus Madoka) into the meeting location and told them 'this is what happens and we aren't strong enough to face this on our own.' Sakura and Tomoe have clearly met other magical girls that weren't from the main gang, so they know where to find these girls. It's established that magical girls all have their own territories, so finding them would not be difficult. But no, Homura decided she would face Walpurgisnacht all alone in the end. Because she needed to keep Madoka as far away from the Magi world as possible. And it ended with Madoka making the wish. The same parallels can be found in the movie. Madoka goes off on her own to fix the situation (just as Homura attempted to do) and it ends up, again, having the opposite effect. Just as Madoka became a magical girl to save everyone, Homura became a witch to not only keep Madoka for herself, but also to make Madoka happy. She didn't resurrect the other girls because she liked them, she did it to try and recreate Madoka's happiness. Both girls tried to carry the world on their shoulders, and both times it ended in disaster I hope in the movie they realize that they need teamwork and that self-sacrifice is not the answer. also, just a note, but fuck madoka. homura is happy to just die by madoka's side, but no, selfish ass madoka begs her to fucking kill herself AGAIN to AGAIN go back in time and save her from making the wish. and homura does it, like the good friend she is AND MADOKA MAKES THE WISH ANYWAYS homura deserves better, holy shit. and then madoka allows homura to keep her memories despite knowing how much homura hated the fact that she was gone. madoka is one of the cruelest anime characters in existence. holy shit.

I don't think Madoka is cruel. I don't get that ill feeling that Madoka intends to hurt people. Madoka isn't evil, maybe naïve, maybe because she's still a kid and hasn't developed her full frontal cortex? That could be the case. But I don't think that keeping your memories is cruel. Memories whether good or bad form part of who you are. If someone only had good memories in their life. Then that someone would be monotone. That someone would not experience the full breadth of a colorful life. Life is about both the happy and the sad. Sometimes life is more sad. Sometimes life is more happy. I think people learn more from sadness then from happiness. If your constantly happy. Then you have nothing to learn. Because you are happy. But if your sad from time to time. You can ask yourself. Why I'm I sad? Why do I feel this way? You can learn and grow from sadness. Like a phoenix that rises from the ashes. Madoka allowed Homura to have the full death of her emotions. Allowed Homura to feel life how it is supposed to be felt. With both sadness and happiness.
