Random thoughts...

@chocopyro Many thanks for the birthday wish. My condolence to your brother. As he was your twin, that is even more difficult to bear. If his and your birthday was recent, I wish the both of you a belated birthday. Though one of you is gone, that doesn't make your life any less significant. - Commonly spoken words from a stranger no less, but the sentiment is as true as can be conveyed. - As one too familiar with loss, we both live in a world plagued with challenges. May we not be so easily defeated as mortals in an unforgiving cosmos and see the next year to come!

You know for awhile I have been debating wether or not I should Change my general name from ProjectOtakuRevolution to AspieChu since I like to make jokes about my autism, but I don't know if I should or not.

Traveling a lot has become the new form of showing off or 'flexing'. Just let me say that there is nothing wrong with traveling in general, it is beneficial to learn another language if you stay some time in another country or move for work. What I am refering to is the form of traveling to show some sort of enlightment that generations, including mine brag with. Most of the information in the world you can obtain via the internet and regarding food, drinks, wine and exercise you can do this locally. A person is not more enligthened if he/she is walking across the coast of Italy, or locally or walk through that certain park in Romania. In this age of instagram and social media traveling has become a form of showing off, when wearing expensive brands has sort of become shady and superficial people found a new way to show off their lifestyle to brag. Tourism is part of the downfall of the world and destroying the environment yes fossil fuels are bad, the meat industry and so much more but ignoring tourism is stupid. Do people really need to travel to Argentinia for some yoga-resort (I am exaggerating, maybe a little bit) or need to travel for a few days with their friends just to celebrate at a famous club several countries or continents away? This has become a form of showing off the wealth of an individual or a group and to get acknowledgement of others. People have fun with different things someone is not more educated or special just because he/she traveled to Idk Denmark or any other country.. if you have fun buying a Switch or PS5 to have fun with friends that is fine too or if you just go for a jog at your local park or wander through your city/town or village.

Here is where im gonna say watching something on tv is different than in person. If you told me women are discriminated in parts of the middle east, sure i would believe you. But then i go to the middle east and i see how bad it is for myself. You cant experience things through the eyes of others which is why travel is good. Travel also brings a new perspective to those otherwise closed off to other countries. Its sort of a way of connecting the world. If everyone here in the US hates one country and then you go to that country and they do nothing but love you guys, Would your perspective ever change? Something i learned while deployed i genuinely thought everyone in the middle east hates America, but some just dont understand us so when we go there and interact they change their view. Traveling isnt a flex is a way to connect, at least imo it is.
