You're they are West Virginian I stand corrected. The Bunny Man was probably the most interesting because it sounds like something that could have actually happened. The Popelick Monster also ranks up on my favorite urban legends.

There are two police reports about the bunny man. One is from a police officer where a man in a bunny costume is standing on the porch of a newly built house at night. He says they are building on his land and he starts chopping at the railing with an axe then runs away. Another is when he is seen on the side of the road by a couple driving and he throws a hatchet through their car window, no injuries. There was a lot of development at the time in this area. I believe it was the 60's so he might have been angry about the changes.

Probably, i found those reports much creepier than the outrageous legends cause they can be easily disproved but a random guy angry at change is a bit too real.
