I guess each person will have their own opinions in life. However, I disagree with that wholeheartedly. Any big business will assign their employees with a computer. Rarely will they be MACs.

I would also like to point out Apple are failing recently and shares are dropping
But the real thing with a Mac it's only an operating system not a pice of hardware
If the sold it to go on any pice of hardware no one would buy them

At the moment i've had my pc and mac for 3 years and the pc has had more faults than the mac,
My mac is mid 2010 15 inch never upgraded. £450
PC upgraded and spent £900 so far on it
so i'll take my chance on the mac :P

The fact that you CAN upgrade a PC and CANNOT upgrade a Mac is more reason to go PC. A part breaks in a PC, buy part and fix, part breaks in a mac? Better buy a new mac, and the Applecare+ warranty is beyond garbage.

You can kind of upgrade a mac if it's a tower. I think you can also replace the baby RAM sticks in the laptop, but don't quote me on that. But for the tower, you're very limited in what you can do. I believe you can also use thunderbolts to change the graphics card into an external one and the HDD into an SSD. Changing RAM sticks should also be fairly easy.

my macbook is fully upgradeable though >_<
Mac is also preferred in the industry I'm going into so there's that as well :3
You can also install Mac on a Desktop Pc as a standalone OS and have the option of complete system overhaul upgrades :D
