Grave of the Fireflies or King of Thorns They're both movies but still, saddest anime for me

I second both Grave of Fireflies and Tokyo Magnitude. Sure, Clannad and Kanon really got me in the heart, but Grave of Fireflies just flat out made me feel num inside for about three months. Like to the point where I didn't even cry. I just kinda faded away.

I have to agree with Elfen Lied. I dunno too much besides Clannad, tho I can say Code Geass has some sad momentz.C

It's difficult to say, I cry at every series. I'll say the most recent one however ^^ Death Parade... those last few episodes :'(

I cried while watching HunterXHunter. I mean, not because the show was sad but because I realized that Togashi Yoshihiro is a shadow of his former self.

Oniisama e... It will rip your heart out and stomp on it after you devote every afternoon of the second semester of your freshman year of college to watching it and crying over it and loving it and then it will spit in your face.
