Weeding Out Catfish

I still think it's really easy to sort out who cat fishes or not. Like Minna-San. She used pics of Lisa Ring (German YTer) who is not 15.. She's a student at uni. I actually know her boyfriend. Or ScreamKiwi. Used low quality pictures although the actual YouTuber uses an HD camera. I don't care if people role play as long as they a) ask the actual person and b) mention it on their profile. It's not hard. Only problem would be as Maria said if they used friends' pics who don't use social media or they arranged it with said friend. Skype is still a good option or are there persos who follow the movements of the faker? Hope not.

@xynox: Role-playing isn't Cat-fishing. Cat-fishing is wrong, plain and simple. In fact I feel like we need to restrict Role-playing to Roleplay topics in Random Chatter and not allow it anywhere else on the forums.

@Lil I don't agree with you. Having a number for a different country, okay, but I've had to cope with crippling social anxiety and while I'm doing fine right now and am even considered popular, I still don't like calling people on the phone (not even close friends, even though sometimes you can't get around that) let alone skype with virtual strangers. That's something that scares the crap out of me. Still, I have it on good authority that I'm not a catfish. I do howevere agree that in occurance with one or multiple of these three can be good telltale signs that something fishy is going on ^^
