Things The US Does Pretty Good

The US has a number of things it ranks highly in. Namely it's the largest consumer based economy, meaning the trade is at a deficit vs a surplus, meaning the US purchases more than it produces. That's a double edged sword. Beyond that, in terms of military quality the US is second to none, but as Germany's defeat in the second pan-European war shows, quality isn't everything. The PRC has more numbers and arms combined, but it's not as quality in terms of military training, arms etc. Honestly though, anything else people commonly proscribe the US as being the best at is tenuous at best and plain fucking wrong at worst.

The gun culture in the US goes back to the Revolution. Trying to deal with guns I'm the way liberals think we should is not going to work.

We're good at making guns, being self sufficient(Well only the country folks), good at being bullies and assholes, and we've got the number one military in the world. Other then that, the economy is collapsing, we're 19 trillion dollars in debt; Doubled under bush, and will more than triple by the time Obama leaves office. Entire sections of cities are becoming Third World, like Detroit, South Chicago, ect. The country is divided on everything, we genetically modify most of our foods, and add sugar to everything. We have several different stereotypes, and too much diversity. The perfect paradise of the 50's and 60's is over, the only reason we're still standing is because of our military.
