Sports anime or Horror Anime?

Sports anime I still have yet to watch a horror anime that blows my mind =3=

Horror Anime has a little more to offer i think, psychologically as well as suspense and possibly the gore factor. I find that i personally do not get excited or involved in the sports anime.

This female will not usually show any particular interest in one of the team because that way no one particular ship is emphasized and the fangirls can be all gushy over whatever guy they want whether it's the nerd with glasses who is overanalytical, the big guy who is just kind of a simpleton, the short guy with wild hair and way too much energy, the angry guy who is constantly embarrassing himself, or the king of the court who makes all this seem bigger than it is actually is. I can go on is the sad part. And I won't even bother telling you which anime in particular I was thinking about when listing these character archetypes. The fact you could think of multiple anime with these characters says it all. These tropes annoy me and no amount of special effects can change that. Doesn't matter if the ball is glowing when you hit or throw it. I don't feel invested then I don't care. BUT one of my favorite anime Hajime no Ippo would be classified as a sports anime. It just depends on execution. Most horror anime makes the same mistakes as Saw and just pretentiously panders to a cynical audience of wannabe goth teens by pretending all the random gushes of blood and torture porn has some deeper meaning. There are good horror anime out there but they are rare. So I'll go with sports. Sorry if my comment ends up flooding the page. I kind of got lost in typing it all.

I like both :D it's hard for me to choose because I haven't seen many horror animes. I like it so far but I also like the sports. Doesn't really matter which sports. I like the whole thing about teamwork and friendship :)

Horror is my go to. I just feel like sports in shows aren't as interesting than sports in real life. And the shows glorification of certain aspects of the Struggle and archetypes in sports can come off as cliche. -w- and then when you go to play sports you just sit there like "well, this is boring" And i like being active, not watching people be active. ;w; it makes me feel lazy. Although i can understand people's liking of it and they CAN get intense, but when they arent, they just come off bland. Although horror lately has been also suffering the same redundancies. that or jump-scare tactics. But i like seeing Horror. Sometimes it just gets funny on how predictable it gets but when it is well executed, it really is pleasant and, at least for me, gives off a fulfilled feeling. And when horror is also mystery, it can get intense at times. but the horror isn't deluted just because it isnt intense. And then theres guro.. which is overkill in terms of show executions I can go outside and play tennis, but i cant go murder a bitch. nor can i summon a ghost. or Raise hell.
