I would hire an older butler/maid that is need of good work due to circumstances, like Sebastian off of Overlord without an eyepatch. Older people tend to have wisdom to glean from and have good cooking. They just know better.

Butler/maid is a job, they get paid for it...you don't buy them. I'd only hire one if I got extremely rich and had a big enough house/estate to justify it though.

*cough* bmth drown i wouldnt actually need a maid cause if i was rich im not gonna buy a huge house cause why do i need so much space? plus i can clean up after myself and i can cook for myself
