Half, started learning when I was a kid but my Dad wanted me to know English more since I am 1st Generation here.

If anyone's still looking, this is a really really good website for finding penpals: http://www.japan-guide.com/local/?aCAT=2 It's the only website I've ever really had luck on, and a days after posting a message I got a good handful of responses!

I am seeing sometimes.The language is an obstacle.Because the machine translation is incomplete, it infers a meaning and it is writing in a reply. I am interesting and think that it is delightful.

OHh.. I want to have Japanese friends who could help me learn the language as well... ^^ And having an Otaku Japanese friend would be very lucky.. heeee~~ ^^

The one thing I am annoyed about learning Japanese that some people don't know its kinda hard to translate something in Japanese to English than English to Japanese. Some phrases are sum up basically so its kinda hard to describe in English. You gotta work it into the English translation lol.

I want to learn japanese as well got a software on my mp3 for it, need to start listening to it, but I can imagine it would be a lot easier to learn with someone.
