What Do You See In The Mirror?

blueroselover
I see a construct. Like a home that I'm always trying to renovate and improve. I see glass half full type of guy who's perhaps a bit too self-critical but always for a good reason. I see a suave devil who could make this world his own. But right now, I just see a guy who likes roses, women, and anime~

I see a person who has been through a lot of shit, but finally got his life around after thinking that he was lying to himself all this time. A person who was afraid to be happy, but can now enjoy life again. The funny thing is that I see a person who knows that nobody he will meet will see the same as he sees in the mirror, but that's okay. The shadow behind me in the mirror is not visible anymore for outsiders and it's becoming small enough for me not to notice it any longer when looking at my reflection.

I see a lot of change, a mix with light and dark. The beggining of something new that can become bad or good, but it's too early to know what will come of it. I'll eventually know some day, but not now. There is a gap, a hole in that figure, like if it is missing something, maybe, love...

Good: I feel beautiful, confident, caring, kind, loved, helpful, and wise. :D Bad: I feel like I'm being taken advantage of by a few people. ~.~

I see a girl in a monochromatic world - with some paints of rainbows and beautiful burst of colors. Too bad I cant take care of the colors so that they will stay forever. But theres something within trying to surface and being reflected slowly by the mirror. A seedling within the heart to accept friendship and trust no matter what happens.

@fancy I've had that as well a while back. You just have to remind yourself that you decided to do everything you do for somebody else. If you feel like you're being taken advantage of, try stopping it or try caring less, because you are probably enabling them. That helped me a lot and that realisation really made a difference for me.

^ Thanks for your kind advice, but it's the truth. It kinda got to the point that I can't trust my best friend and some of my family members. :(

Being altruist is always bad for the conditions of the one who is. It benefits the greater goods, but tear off the alone poor soul who sacrifice. Maybe you just should try to be egoist from times to times, or try to ask something in returns. Or get a partner that refrains your generous person.
