Shin Megami Tensei/Persona anyone?

Atlus never disappoints.And we have Shoji Meguro for the killer music. I personally liked P4 better than P3. I remember how scarce these games on my side of the planet back in the days. I was also just 19 back then. I went to so much trouble but with no luck until my sister gave it to me as a present hahahahaha As for other SMT games, I played Nocturne and DDS :D I will never forget how Matador gave me so much headache *facepalm*

I love them, so far I've played P3FES, P4G, SMTIV, SMT Devil Survivor. I can't wait for P5 this year and hope we will also get SMTIV Final

So sorry to necro this but it's good to see a Persona/SMT thread. When it comes to the main Persona games, I've played 3 and 4, but I prefer P3. SMT, I've played 3 Nocturne and 4. Looking forward to IV Final and currently working on Strange Journey. With that said, who is your favorite character?

I only have shin tensei digital devil saga 1. In my area of texas shin megami tensei games are expensive and hard to find. I'm currently watching the anime for persona 4 and I'm liking it so far, but I can only catch it once a week on demand.

This one of my definitely one of my favorite JRPG series. Played SMT:Devil Summoner Soul Hackers, SMT: Strange Journey, SMT4, P3, P4G, SMT:Devil Survivor 1 and 2. Currently trying to finish up Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker(3ds remake) and waiting for localizing of SMT4 Final.

Okay it's been almost 2 months since I started this thread and too be honest back then I was a bit of a novice when it came to Persona and especially Shin Megami Tensei as a whole. However between the time I started this thread and now... I have become I diehard fan of SMT, Persona, Devil Survivor, etc. I've played Persona, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, Persona 3 FES, Persona 4, Devil Survivor 1 & 2, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Shin Megami Tensei 4 and I've dabbled in others and am interested in picking up stuff like Digital Devil Saga, enhanced ports like Persona 4 Golden, etc. I have also watched the Persona 4 Anime and the Persona 3 Movies. Now which game has the best soundtrack? Persona 3 as a whole hands down. Whether it'd be tracks from Persona 3, The Answer from FES, P3P, The Movies, or The Live Band Albums the soundtrack simply doesn't stop being amazing... And I can't hear "Mass Destruction" without jamming the fuck out it's just instinct at this point. Lol And my favorite characters from Persona 2, 3, and 4: P2: Tatsuya, Maya, Baofu, Lisa, Eikichi, Nanjo, Katsuya, and Joker. P3: Aigis, Shinji, Akihiko, Fuuka, Mitsuru, Elizabeth, Junpei, Chidori,Chihiro, Ryoji, and The Male and Female MC's. P4: Chie, Naoto, Yosuke, Rise, Nanako, Teddie, Adachi, and Yu Narukami. And of course Igor, Philemon, etc. I love almost all of the characters in this series but these one's stood out (I'll probably forgot some but oh well) With all that out of the way... I'd love to chat more about the wonderful Shin Megami Tensei/Persona franchise with others so if you'd like hit me up or leave a comment here. XD

Same here i got into the series around last year, and now it's one of my favorite JRPGs. As for which is my favorite game, Persona 3 or Persona 4, well that's kinda a hard question to answer. To me Persona 3 has the better story or set up *spoilers* especially during the last couple of months in the game where the fall is approaching and you have to stop it. You can really feel the weight of the situation and that you can't fail. Now where Persona 3 has in my opinion; the better story, Persona 4 has the better cast. Don't get me wrong Persona 3 has some good characters (Minato, Aigis, Elizabeth, Ryoji) but i just feel so much closer the characters of Persona 4 (which may be one of the reasons they have so many spin off games).

SMT if This is equivalent to the starting point of a persona series. SMT which made the school a theme. SMT for beginners.
