Guys who cosplay

proudbeast
The first one I did was pretty nerve racking since I was always camera shy. When it became a daily thing to dress up for cons, I started to get used to what was comfortable and also getting into character to rile up the crowd. I usually group up almost always now since cosplays are way more fun with friends/close ones. So that way, you don't give a damn that you didn't spend like $600 on a costume just to look good :)

I still try to cosplay when I can! Limited funds have caused me to be unable to put together or buy many new cosplays and attend cons lately. I have some new ones i pieced togetehr from my closet that I have yet to reveal. Since cons and big cosplays are a no-go for me right now, I'm trying to organize and attend cosplay gatherings in my area. If you're in my neighborhood, check them out!

I dont mind cosplaying at all, its fun! Hmm, Ive cosplayed as Neji (Naruto), Vincent Valentine (FF7), Shanks (One Piece), an unspecified member of the Kuchiki house (a Bleach OC) and next up will be my other Bleach OC, as a captain.

Ooo Bleach is what most of my old (and not very summer-friendly) cosplays were. I put together all of Hirako Shinji's present day outfits, his Past Arc one, and I can easily do his newest one (won't say it because of minor spoilers). I also tried Ichigo Kurosaki for a bit. Wanted to do bankai Ichigo, but one of my ex's (yes, the infamously bad ex) mutual friends ripped me off and acts like nothing happened. As for other cosplays, I've done 1st season Seto Kaiba (Yu-Gi-Oh!), Schoolkid male trainer (Pokemon), [Gen IV] Veteran trsiner (Pokemon), Reaper gang member (inFAMOUS), amd Cole MacGrath disguised as a Reaper gang member (inFAMOUS 2). Cosplays I'm working on and/or will be doing at future events are Desmond Miles (Assassin's Creed), young adult Gohan (Dragonball Z), and [Gen V] Veteran male trainer (Pokemon).

I love cosplaying, but I'll admit that I'm a bit new to it still, having gone to my first con only last year where I cosplayed Edward Elric. I'm planning to finish my Dark Mousy (DNAngel) trench coat before classes start up again in a few weeks and, if there's still time, my Saito Hiraga (Familiar of Zero) jacket. I'm convinced that cosplaying itself is only half the fun. The other half is going to the fabric store and flipping through 8 different blacks (or whatever color you need) while asking yourself which kind and shade fabric would this character most likely use for their clothes. Then there's getting into character, which I really want to get into more this time. I can't say I have a lot of experience staying in character other than when someone calls out "Edward!", "Ed!", "Shorty!", "Pipsqueak!", or "Beansprout!", though.

I. Love. Cosplay. Not only have I done... *ticks off the years*... four, maybe five costumes so far other than Halloween (two were variations on the same costume, unless I'm forgetting something), but I also make most of the costumes for my socal circle. As for pair-cosplays, I'm probably a bit irrelevant to you; although I love to do group and pair cosplays, I'm in the Naka-Kon region and can't really afford to go anywhere further just for a convention.

cosplaying guys is epic. my friend Nich cosplays Grell from Black Butler and he is EPIC! He can sound like the voice actors from the subbed and dubbed. Plus it's funny because he's really like the character!

@momohinamori: I am suddenly very jealous of your knowing Nich @-@ (That is, in a *smiley plus tongue LOL" way).

I used to be a great Shinji in terms of appearance and personality. I really hope I can start cosplaying him more once the heat goes away!
