What would you do?

Well, I've known them for awhile and they are my best friend so maybe. Depends on how I feel about them. I have a childhood friend and if he confessed to me, that depends how I would feel about him if I'm going to reciprocate his feelings or not. He's straight as far as I know so it's less likely.

I'd be like, "I appreciate the admiration, but I'm not into guys. We can be friends, sure, but I couldn't ever be romantically involved with any guy"

I've already had this happen to me, I couldn't say I could return his feelings, but I still hang out with him since he's a really good friend. I did although, help him get together with this one girl he liked a year later (he's bi? I guess...).

I would tell it to them straight that I'm not interested in them. I don't like to beat around the bush or sugar coat the message, I just tell them as bluntly and humanly possible and hope it doesn't ruin our friendship. *shrugs*

If you have known each other for a long time then the best thing you can do is be honest. Not the easiest thing to do, I know. But honesty is always the best policy.

Had the same problem multiple times. It was hard for me though. We were skyping while she was in her hospital bed. (Not sure for what anymore but she had very bad kidneys so something along that way.) She confessed to me like that and the heart monitor started beeping like crazy LOL it was really funny. In the end I turned her down, I was bi back then, but I really didn't see her that way. And I'm glad I didn't accept her, she ended up being fake af. But it was truly a funny experience. (She didn't get into trouble btw, she had a room for her own so.)

Happened. Told the friend he knew where I was coming from and while I was flattered, he just wasn't my type. But told him we could always be friends.

Yeah I really felt bad after running away. I mean i was flattered how the way she paid much attention to me. I never looked at her that way but i do enjoy her company. I should've not ran away. But my heart and mind is about to explode that time. I couldn't think straight. So this time. My mind and heart is at ease. So yeah. I'm gonna hunt that girl down. Lol. And tell her i love her not that way but a special and important friend.
