Game theory optimal. Basically it means playing your part of a Nash equilibria. I'm totally using it out of context, though. To put it in layman's terms, an equilibrium is a stable point where no player can unilaterally increase their expectation in the game. A simple example of an equilibrium would be the strategy of playing 1/3 rock, 1/3 paper, 1/3 scissors while playing rock, paper, scissors. How to beat that strategy? You can't. Your best response is just to do the same so that your opponent can't beat you either. To put it really simply, it's just means to play perfectly :P
