Okami's poetry

Hello everyone ^u^ I've been feeling like I want to start making my poems and poetry more viewable by people, instead of being something I read from time to time on my own~ all of these are original works, I'm not looking to upset anyone~ Please feel free to comment if you wish, but if you're here just to read, welcome! And if you're here and you're wondering why I'm being so weird.. It's because I want to share something that I can do. I hope all of you reading this find some joy, some understanding, or some realization here~ and I hope all my poetry is worth the read~

Soldier's boy A young boy's tears hit cold stone, A pain he never knew. His father, in camouflage armor, Says to him, "I love you." His father hugs his family close, The last act that he can, Before the horns of battle sound, And he'll leave his little man. The young boy shivers violently. Locked by the grip of fear. The young boy calls out "please don't go!!!" But his father couldn't hear. His father walks, right through the gates, And there he disappears. The young boy falls down to the stone, Soaked from all the tears. They would never know his feeling, Of how he'd be so glad, To give up his entire life, For another day with dad.

Nice to see you putting more of your stuff out there. I'm definitely a fan. The only real flaw I noticed was the word, "past." It might make more sense to say something like, "His father passes through some gates."

Hello everyone! Two new poems today~ sorry for the really dark theme of these, I had some nightmares for inspiration this time~ I hopefully will have a much happier poem coming very soon! Stay awesome everyone ^u^

Play date. The shadow fills my vision. How could I be so blind? The surges in my movement. Who would have thought? Enclosing on the inside. Why is it this way? Acceptance in defeat. I wish that it was all... A young child went, To see his friend, With a dash, he rounded the bend. Excited was he, To go and be, With his best friend, once again. He knocked with a smile, Turned to a frown, No answer from the door. He went around back, And snuck inside, Not knowing what was in store. He went to his room, His friend's one place, Through tears, he saw his dear friend. That hang from above, Not but a corpse, A friend, he won't see again.
