Tech Question??

Foldable Laptop Problem. Does anyone know what to do about ghost tapping? Let me explain for those who dont know what that is. Basically a touch screen thats pushing sh_** all by its self so to speak. I normally wouldnt care because its my school laptop but it did that s*** in the middle of a test one time, that is so not cool. Like plz make it stop or disable it or something. Yes I already know I can just disable the touch screen but kinda defeats the purpose of purchasing it.

did you try calibrating it? maybe the touch screen sensor is messed up or the screen might need to be replaced

Im not sure XD sorry I suck at this. Um how do you calibrate it? Yea ive heard I lot of complaints when I looked up the problem no one really knows what to do. It doesnt happen all the time, its super random maybe 3 times a week at most but always at the most inconvenient times though. I normally just restart it which helps 90% of the time 10% of the time it'll just do the same thing after reboot.

calibrating it? what kind of 1/2 as answer is that? Hey, just correlate the readings of the touch sense with those of a working one in order to check the instrument's accuracy. Tri, I could possibly help with your laptop, but you'd have to call me. You have my #, right? I'd have to ask you a shit ton of questions and it would go faster if you could answer quickly

@Robscence-pie Lmfao thats catchy, if only this worked all the time XD. Just had to reboot again a minute ago, curse you ghost. @Kichi don't be mean :p. Honestly though I do need help, I cant call long distance right now or anyone for that matter. So it would have to be week after next if your available that is. Hopefully thats not to far away. If I cant fix this i'll probably just end up buying something else.

Here's what you could do: Disable the touch screen function. Update the driver of the touch screen by getting the driver from the manufacturer's website (Dell). Replace the hardware (LCD Screen). Try doing the drivers option if you haven't.

Just incase, be sure you know your model number of the laptop so you do not get the wrong drivers and end up with a BSOD or something. If you are unsure, open command prompt and type in systeminfo (If I remember correctly) It should tell you what type you have.
