Leaving a convention early or late

Around 5-6pm the con I've been to is closed and, if I had friends with me, they go away so I'm left all alone and awkward so I wait half a hour and leave too. But then I feel like I missed something but I'm past the point of no return. I hate when a con ends :(

I usually leave close to the end, when I've done all that I am interested in, but usually there's still an hour or two left of the con.

I have not been to a con in a couple of years, but leaving late sounds like the way to do it... and it doesn't even matter if you have a room nearby anyway~! And if it's not too late, maybe even find a cool after party and mingle with fans (*^▽^*)

I leave late but that's also because I'm involved in breakdown. Not too late though since I usually have work/school the monday morning
