You've got it all worked out Sunflower ;) Here is installment 5 of my story (Part 1 is on page 151, Part 2 is on page 166, Part 3 is on page 214, Part 4 is on page 220): “What are you doing down there?” The owner of the voice was Donnie. He was standing at the entrance of the pathway and was regarding the prone Veruca with a quizzical expression. Donnie, or “Best Boy”, was an institution in the village. He constantly bemoaned his lack of “luck with the ladies”. In reality women were constantly throwing themselves at him but he was despairing too much to see this. “Donnie, Donnie, Donnie! You don’t know how happy I am to see your mug! There was this shadow woman but it seems you scared her/it away when you came down the path”. Crestfallen Donnie replied, “Aaaaw. It’s just my luck. I always chase away the ladies!”. Veruca tentatively stood up and dusted herself off. She didn’t feel any injuries more serious than a couple of cuts and bruises. “No Donnie. You did really well. You saved my life.” “I guess that’s okay…” he replied not totally convinced. Veruca tried to cheer him up with a pat on the back. Donnie’s place was on her way to her own home so she walked with him. The conversation was a little boring so I’ll just gloss over it. It consisted primarily of Veruca constantly trying to convince her friend that he will get a girlfriend etc. etc. Just as they were about to part ways Donnie turned to Veruca and said, “Do you want some coffee? Or be my girlfriend?”. “Are those my only two options?”. Veruca looked him down with an unblinking stare but Donnie just countered with a blank expression. She could only sigh and walk away. Just as Donnie was about to dejectedly enter his home she shouted over her shoulder, “Well, at least you tried, my man. Hahaha, poor Donnie! Why you gotta be so mean Veruca! It was only coffee! Actually, I bet if it was wine you would have went in... Good work though Jester! @Veruca - yeah, that seems like an inconvenient place to keep a chainsaw... Speaking of voices, why does everyone always depict me as having a "manly" voice? I've never talked to any of you guys, and for all you know, I could have the highest pitched voice of anyone on here....
