Here is Installment 2 of my story (if you missed it, the first part is on page 151 of this thread): Veruca’s favourite pastime though was to stalk the perplexing Arc, who loved wearing cat ears. She enjoyed watching him work at his forge from the shadows. She liked the way how each blow of his hammer was accentuated with a deep grunt. When he worked up enough of a sweat she would watch him take off his shirt and rub himself with a wet cloth-leaving his torso glistening. She always had to stop herself from yelping with delight when that happened. As she watched him more and more she was becoming aware that she wasn’t the only one keeping an eye on him. She had no proof but, she could feel another presence. It was especially acute whenever she was watching Arc sleep through his window. It felt malevolent and she jokingly called it Stalker-chan. She couldn’t supress her feelings of unease for long though and she went under the cover of darkness to Pika-chan for information on this being. Pika-chan had an unusually massive library in her house and as such villagers regularly went to her for information. Veruca hiked over her mounds of books that took up almost all of the available space in the cramped interior. She spied a faint glimmer at the back of the house. Nearing the light she could faintly make out a hunched over figure at a desk. This figure was so engrossed that when Veruca tapped her on the shoulder she almost fell out of her chair with fright. “Ve-Ve-Veruca! To what do I owe the pleasure?” Urgently she asked, “Pika-chan I need your assistance. Do you have any information on a being that stalks vulnerable young men?” Pika-chan put on her spectacles and scurried to a nearby collection of books with surprising speed. In no time she returned to the desk with a massive purple tome. Cracking open a huge tome she rambled on excitedly as she paged through, “The book of stalkers! Your one is bound to be in here”. After a while the book was opened on a page with a picture of a shadowy, female figure. Pika-chan and Veruca silently read it: “The shadow stalker is a being that’s preferred prey is susceptible men. It only functions in the evening. Initial stages of the stalking are characterized by the creature observing the victim from afar. The stalker moves progressively closer to its prey as time passes. The quarry is only killed after the shadow stalker has moved close enough for it to kiss her target.
