Lost all motivation for everything...

Does anyone feel this way? Like you're not sure what you're doing in life, yet all this time is just flying by, and you still don't accomplish anything. I proposed myself to join this music honor society. I practiced really hard for this audition and didn't make it xD ever since then, I kinda lost all motivation already, and keep telling myself i will practice someday

haha the story of my life basically. like i know what i wanna do but im not sure how to do it, like idk what to do. every time i work hard toward something it just blows up in my face and im stuck regretting my decision and then i dont have any motivation to do anything else

Yep, that's pretty much me. I went to school to gain the mad skillz to make vidya gaems, guess what? The class sucked horse dick and was really flawed. I kept trying to make/keep friends, guess what they keep falling apart,I kept trying to lose weight only to be unable to afford gym membership and appropriate food, and lastly trying to get a goddamn job, I searched and searched and searched every single fucking day, with no rest in between, pestered employers left and right, hassled my relatives working at said jobs to get me in, in the end no dice. I pretty much gave up on life and my dreams, so I'm just kind of waiting for my demise to come. I ask myself what's the point of even trying when it's going to fail like everything else? So yeah. It just goes to show you hard work and dedication doesn't always pay off.*Deactives*

sooooo we meet again xDDD yes!!!! this is so like me!! and its something you're really self-conscious about and damn, we should praise ourselves by overcoming all of these failures xD

Hindsight is never a good thing to have. "Many people look so long at the door that has closed in front of them that they fail to see the other doors that have opened for them." That was said (written? signed? not really sure) by Hellen Keller and she must have had a pretty crappy life. We all regret plenty of failures - I sure have, "as do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us." Hope you enjoy some sappy inspirational quotes!!!! Don't give up. Life will give you a lot of hit-backs so giving up at an age as young as yours would be fatal. I personally don't know what I'll be doing so I do a lot of things. Art, music, sports, getting a degree at uni.. maybe at some point I will truly understand what I want but until then I'll just try as much as I can and try NOT to focus too much on one thing otherwise I'd fear limiting myself and missing many oppertunities to try new things and maybe that one passion I've been looking for for years.. If you are completely certain music is your passion then hold on to it. One failed audition means nothing. Quite a few famous artists were turned down on their first try to get into their educational institution of choice and their hurt pride nurished their determination and eventually they reached levels that other artists that have been accepted on their first auditions for elite institutions did not reach in music.

I feel like socializing on this site is leading me to the path of enlightenment :D but really, thank you, a very wise inspirational quote indeed

@xynox Yes, all these things that come later on are overwhelming as well .-. but you're totally right!! Talking through this thread really lifted my spirits ^^ i'm pretty sure there are limited things this world has to offer xD finding that one thing you like can't be impossible

The only limitation is you. If you wish to give up, don't expect anything positive. If you wish to succeed, you will. Success is not always in an accomplishment that all can see, sometimes it's just the little things in your day. Count your blessings, as cliché as that sounds. You're oh so young yet, don't give up...ever. Even a thousand failures to make one success, is a success. Nothing comes to those who wait.
