Not many, -> I didn't have any problem with that -> I second this, I would like to know if he won -> Yeah but realistically that was the expected outcome -> Fair point -> For the rivals thing, I agree, I think the show would need additional development to make it useful. For the apprentice thing, I disagree, IMO it helped Kousei grow up a bit. -> I think he feels guilty for her death, as she died short after him hating her.

End: But what if the expected outcome didn't happen? That's a terrible thing to assume. Apprentice: I can see your point, but I don't think it did enough to warrant so much time. Mother: Guilty about the death, yeah. But they were trying to shine her in a positive light and I didn't see it. Picture this: You cut the 'Rivals' and 'Apprentice' arc and do backstory on the mother so you can see her descent and try and establish some pathos. Another thing I didn't like: He was drowning for WAY too long. I did not expect that to happen every single time

I see what you mean, and why it may be a bit annoying, still, I loved this anime ^-^
