yeah its not an all male thing, but its a mostly male thing women dont sit like that, despite it being comfortable, we feel insecure to have our legs open like that, probz objectification reasons idk physically it feels comfortable iv noticed most guys who do it iv noticed have headphones on, so im guessing they just dont care in general or dont even think about it

i do mind how much space i take, i usually stand so i dont have to go through the awkward "do you wanna take this seat" they didnt hear me cause im quiet cause i dont want to disturb a random person why would i explain to my male friends things but not explain to my female friends? i guess cause buzzfeed want men and women to not be considered equal

also for women keep our legs super closed like that specially in a hot area can cause a yeast infection easily so its not just men who need to air out their junk great dat boi, then im not talking to you but the men who do do it. mansplaining is talking down to a women, its a condescending action usually in the business place another type is telling a woman she doesnt need feminism, and that she has all the rights she needs im sure theres such a thing as whitesplaining too, whites talking down to blacks about their issues its called mansplaining because its male issue do all men do this? no. are the people who do this men? yes

I only mention not all guys do it to better understand where it comes from when I was a shy insecure kid sitting next to tough guys they would manspread and I was too self conscious to say anything cause that would certainly be met with hostility something I was afraid of back then. Now for women, guys like that would care even less about them and probably manspread to get some contact.

sure, women with purses or bags who dont move them are assholes, though men also do this not just women carry bags/backpacks and thats an issue men can talk about, just as women talk about manspreading
