Male idol anime is better than female idol anime even if the story line is shit at least the songs don’t sound the same, fan service is fucking way more up the ass, Voices are heavenly and have a bit more variety and female idol anime just feels generic in comparison even some the other musical female anime which I know is suppose to appeal to some friggin weeb ass otaku, though like there’s just not enough Bishi AF voices. Shit ain’t fair

I find the romantic interests are also more thought out when it's for women, girls tend to be vapid and uninteresting in anime aimed at boys. Not all the time, but a lot of the time.

@Kokowo it’s not the story and the song type it’s the content their of and the voices heard. The only times I’ve really seen as not bland is locodoll and the currently airing zombieland saga. Although more episodic driven and not just a shounen sports plot as veil over the the shows with slightly less music it’s idol none the less. With male idols that have come out like Idol Master side M was “meh” to me enjoyed idolish7 for a bit but I love UtaPri and their is fun times the two that stuck out tbh are Starmyu and Marginal Number 4 which gave a different feel then what I’ve seen from other stuff plus the obvious fun music. Tbh I was just shit posting and I have really niche preferences cause I get bored cha cha real fast of the formula leaving the 4 anime I mentioned to be my favorite out of the idol anime I’ve seen so far. Though nothing will compare to how much I love Bakamatsu rocks music or the fun I saw in Show by rock! (Imo it’s not that good tbh) but those aren’t even idol anime lol. Also best idol anime is obviously Gokudolls:Backstreet girls who needs singing when there’s yakuza with sexchanges from Thailand trying not to die with comedy XD.
