Unpopular opinions

"My body, my choice" is a poor excuse for abortion.

^I agree, same way it was your choice to have sex, should be the same way for that unborn child to get a choice at a chance at living

So, you'd be critical of a rape victim, a victim of incest, or someone whod possibly die from medical complications due to pregnancy?

Killing the child wont undo the effects? Im not saying you absolutely have to keep the child under certain circumstances (nor did my response cater to such an event) in all cases but the last one i would say it would be somewhat justified. The last one however if you willingly had sex and got pregnant without taking proper steps to ensuring your body was in a healthy enough state to undergo such an event then who's fault is it? Always be prepared condoms and birth control arent a keep baby away tool.

Here's an unpopular opinion: life and human society as a whole has too many variables in it for there to be a catch-all solution to any of said society's problems. interpret that as you will.

Not every woman knows there could be medical complications from a pregnancy, that's not how it works. What about ectopic pregnancies(Not always fatal, but for arguments sake, they can be.)? You do know what that is, right? Somethings can not be predicted UNTIL they happen.

@yass so essentially your life or theirs? And its yours by default since you want to live and it doesnt matter that the baby didnt even get a chance? Again with being prepared, nothing in life happens the way we want them to. Thats why you have to be prepared in advance for an event such as that. It isnt like one person in history died from it so it wont happen to you. Tell me this which one matters more to you? Dying from child birth or dying from saving your kid from some accident where they could die? Same scenario essentially. You mean to tell me you will let your kid die to save yourself? And dont say "there is no guarantee the kid will make it" if a lion ran in your house and was about to turn your kid into a snack and you try to save him. There is no guarantee either of you will make it there either.

@T also cloning isnt playing god cuz "you are making life" you kinda do that anyway when you have kids XD there are a ton of similarities between a clone and a baby. They both use DNA from a host. So i agree cloning should be legal. But then again who needs about 50 versions of themselves running around the city lmfao

I actually had this very discussion with my wife, before our son was born. She was 100% in your mind frame camp, but for me it would've been the absolute hardest decision to ever make. It's not so simple as to say "Do what you must, doc.", there's much more involved when you also love the person involved. I'd have no hate for anyone who chose thier own life over thier unborn child, but that's because I can't see thru there eyes. I wish all kids could be saved and all mothers, but (albeit rare-is in a first world country) losing either would be horribly devastating. It's really not a black/white issue. The people I have an issue with are the ones just popping out kids while on government assistance( One I know of comes to mind and she's an absolutely useless excuse for human excrement. )those who get pregnant and "Oh shit! Better get an abortion. ".
