@alephy psychology is the term used to describe patterns in behavior in a "subject" Ring a bell, feed a dog, it will learn to associate the bell with food and drool from, probably get pissed off if you don't feed it.

@alephy you're being awfully pseudo intellectual. I think you're just being a contrarian for the sake of it @ahuman I'm no psychologist. But the ABAB design isn't really intended for more complex organisms (like aged humans) rather, it's to test simple theories on simple subjects (babies, dogs, etc), where there are much less variables to interfere with the study. Although psychology is the study of the human mind, ABAB typically is used a lot to test non humans if I remember correctly. It is also certainly not the only method of study psychologists use, if anything it's a much more basic one
