Yall straights say pride month is shit but then when it comes to pride events your the ones who show up and ruin it by getting drunk at them and then have the nerve to be like oh pride month is so bad they should get rid of it We all know you gonna miss your sorry excuse for partying and getting off your head drunk once a year

I cried my first pride. I like it in the celebratory sense because even our own families hate us. I don’t like soulless corporations pandering tho. Fuck that.

I have no way of being open and pride events are one of the only time of the year I’m open about my sexuality with people I love and feel proud of my identity around other people who go through the same struggle

Just saying this I have been severely physically and mentally bullied for my sexuality for a majority of my life and being at pride is a safe space for me and having a month where I can see people supporting people like me when I never see that support and it’s important to see that support

What I was trying to say is that we should as a society accept everyone the way they are, no matter what they do and who they choose to be with, same with race, religion and world views, were all people after all, it's impossible that this will happen, because dickheads always exist. As long as you're not a pedophile, you're cool with me no matter what.

I honestly think somewhere down the line even the most obscene things will be normalized and pushed into acceptance. Not too long ago gays were beaten, arrested, or killed once caught. But nowadays its socially acceptable. Just think what comes next after this. Not to say that its wrong to be gay just i feel someone is gonna try to start a movement for somethint that isnt socially acceptable.
