Irrational Childhood Fears

^ Same. I hate deep water where I can't see or feel the bottom. Not that I won't swim in deep water, buuuut it's hard to see yellow in cloudy water...Just sayin'.

When I was little I was seriously terrified of the Geico lizard like no joke >~< When he popped up on tv I would dash to another room lol

When I was like 6 or 7 my mom enrolled me in tap and clog dancing lessons and they were really fun and the other kids were nice. So I spent 3 months in the class before my mom told me she was going to buy me special shoes for my dance lessons if I kept up the hard work. I'm sure this was supposed to be encouraging because we were very poor at the time and it would be a nice present. But after that I started having crazy nightmares of those shoes having long needles in the bottom that you have to poke into your foot to wear and I believed these nightmares were real. I never told my mom about this, but I refused to go to my classes, I didn't want the shoes, I was terrified of them. I think I believed those shoes had needles in them until I was 12. I have no idea where I got the idea of it from, maybe my brain is just a nightmare factory
