The first memory I have of returning to Japan(was born there and moved to USA at 5), I remember some weird expectations I had, despite having been there in the past... I remember still thinking that Japan was like traditional? It was weird for me to think that too, because I remember even before when I was 4 or 5, I had memories of being in urban Japan, including Tokyo Disneyland and a busy crosswalk with skyscrapers... and yet I still believed in what other kids said about Japan having pagodas and stuff all over. @_@ Maybe moving to America just has that effect.

what i expect is like the technology and stuff there to be a bit more advanced than that of the us, i mean alot of stuff we have come from japan so its of course they have to be more advanced than us. i dont expect it to be exacty like how it is in anime cause obviously its anime most of that stuff isnt real. but i kinda want to see if there are really loli roaming the streets, and the groper people, and the pervy people going around like how i usually see in anime

It's not all hi-tech everywhere though. The fax machine is very much alive and thriving in Japan. I remember most stores don't accept credit cards and I don't think I ever saw a 24 hour atm machine. Lots of houses don't have central heating and insulating so it can get crazy freezing.
